This Privacy Policy explains how ChatPilot Ai ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, protects, and discloses information when you use our Instagram automation platform, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to transparency and safeguarding your personal data in accordance with global privacy regulations and the Meta Platform Terms.

1. Information We Collect

When you connect your Instagram account to ChatPilot Ai via Meta OAuth Login, we collect only the information necessary to provide automation, analytics, and direct messaging functionality:

  • Instagram Account Information: Your Instagram username, account ID, profile picture, account type (Creator/Business), and follower metrics provided via the official Instagram Graph API.
  • Direct Messages & Comments: Inbound message snippets, comment content, sender IDs, and conversation timestamps required exclusively to trigger and execute configured automations (such as auto-replies, keyword triggers, and follow-gates).
  • Media Metadata: Public posts, reels, and story IDs to allow you to select specific content for automated comment triggers.
  • Authentication Credentials: Encrypted Meta access tokens required to communicate securely with the Instagram Graph API on your behalf.

2. Meta Platform Permissions Used

Our application requests the following granular permissions through the official Meta Business Login:

instagram_business_basic

To read account profile information, handle, and basic media details.

instagram_business_manage_messages

To receive incoming direct messages and dispatch automated responses you configure.

instagram_business_manage_comments

To detect trigger keywords in post comments and reply publicly/privately as configured.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data collected strictly for the following purposes:

  • To execute user-defined automation rules (e.g., auto-sending lead magnets, answering FAQs, and greeting followers).
  • To provide conversation inbox management and interaction history.
  • To display delivery analytics, trigger conversion rates, and engagement performance in your dashboard.
  • To maintain system reliability, detect anomalies, and prevent spam or abuse.

We never sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal data or Meta platform data to any third-party advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Storage and Security

All customer data, authentication tokens, and automation settings are stored securely in dedicated PostgreSQL infrastructure hosted via Supabase with enterprise-grade AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 encryption in transit. Row-Level Security (RLS) policies are enforced to guarantee that your account data is accessible only by your verified session.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You maintain full ownership of your data. You can permanently delete your data at any time:

  • Self-Service Disconnect: Navigate to your Settings page and click Disconnect Account. This immediately revokes and purges your access tokens from our database.
  • Meta App Settings: You can remove ChatPilot Ai from your Facebook/Instagram connected apps dashboard at any time.
  • Data Deletion Request: Visit our dedicated Data Deletion Instructions page or email us at thevelocityexports@gmail.com. We process and confirm all deletion requests within 48 hours.

6. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted infrastructure providers who adhere to strict data privacy standards:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Instagram Graph API infrastructure)
  • Supabase, Inc. (Encrypted database and authentication backend)
  • Vercel, Inc. (Secure cloud serverless hosting)
